But Daly has now cleared up the confusion.

He is not leaving the main version of The Voice.

The reports are connected to a new spin-off, The Voice: Celebrity, which NBC plans to launch in spring 2027 instead of airing a traditional Season 31 during that period.

The  celebrity edition will put a new spin on the competition by replacing aspiring singers with familiar faces. Actors, athletes, reality stars and influencers will compete in the Blind Auditions and try to earn a spot in one of the famous red chairs.

Daly will not host that version of the show.

The longtime host explained on Instagram that he did not feel he was “the right host” for the Hollywood-focused spin-off. Instead, Emmy-winning presenter and actress Keke Palmer will take over hosting duties for The Voice: Celebrity.

Daly has publicly welcomed Palmer to the franchise, calling the 32-year-old a “triple threat queen” and saying she is “perfect” for the job.

“I’m so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out,” Daly said. “We’re all big fans and welcome her to the family.”

When asked directly whether he was leaving The Voice, Daly gave a simple answer: “Nope.”

He also pointed out that he has hosted and produced every season of the show since its beginning, spanning 30 seasons.

For now, Daly remains the host of the flagship series. Season 30 premieres Monday, Sept. 21, with Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson returning as coaches alongside newcomers Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

His connection to the franchise will also continue beyond the main show. Daly remains an executive producer across The Voice and is involved behind the scenes as NBC prepares to launch the celebrity edition.

While NBC has not yet announced hosting plans for every future traditional season, Daly’s latest comments make one thing clear: reports of his departure from the main Voice are not what they first appeared to be.
