As NCIS: Los Angeles approaches its emotional farewell, Eric Christian Olsen is celebrating an exciting new chapter for his longtime co-star LL Cool J.

The rapper and actor, 55, announced that he is returning to the road for his first arena tour in 30 years. Titled THE F.O.R.C.E. — short for Frequencies of Real Creative Energy — the tour will bring LL Cool J back to the stage alongside a major lineup of hip-hop artists.

Sharing a video of himself preparing for the tour, LL Cool J wrote: “This is not a moment, it’s a movement. For my first Arena tour in 30 years, I am bringing you THE F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy).”

The tour is scheduled to begin in Boston in late June and conclude in Los Angeles in September.

Olsen, who starred alongside LL Cool J throughout NCIS: Los Angeles, shared the announcement on his Instagram Stories.

His reaction was brief but enthusiastic, writing: “Let’s goooooo! @llcoolj.”

The post offered a glimpse of Olsen cheering on his longtime co-star as LL Cool J prepares for his return to live performances.

The tour promises a different format from a traditional concert lineup. LL Cool J said the shows will feature The Roots as the backing band, with performances woven into one continuous musical set rather than following a conventional opening-act-and-headliner structure.

The lineup will also feature DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Z-Trip, while select shows are expected to include artists such as Salt-N-Pepa, Queen Latifah, Rakim, Common, MC Lyte, Big Boi, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice T, Juvenile, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, De La Soul, Goodie Mob, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Method Man and Redman.

LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith, last performed at the 2023 Grammy Awards as part of a star-studded tribute to hip-hop.

LL Cool J’s return to the stage comes as NCIS: Los Angeles prepares to close its run after 14 seasons on CBS.

The spin-off was canceled earlier in the year, with its final episodes scheduled to air on May 14 and May 21. A special farewell, A Salute to NCIS: Los Angeles, will follow the finale.

LL Cool J played NCIS Senior Special Agent and former Navy SEAL Sam Hanna throughout the series, while Olsen portrayed one of the show’s central characters alongside Daniela Ruah and Chris O’Donnell.

For more than a decade, the cast became a familiar part of the NCIS franchise. Now, as the series reaches its conclusion, Olsen is taking the opportunity to support his co-star as LL Cool J prepares to return to a very different kind of spotlight.
