Savannah Guthrie enjoyed the holiday weekend with her husband, Mike Feldman, and her Today co-anchor, Craig Melvin.

One day after she and Melvin led NBC’s Fourth of July coverage on Saturday, July 4, the duo got into the FIFA World Cup spirit by attending the tournament’s Norway vs. Brazil match at New York New Jersey Stadium (a.k.a. MetLife Stadium).

“Had a blast watching Norway upset Brazil with @lindsaycz, @savannahguthrie and @feldmike,” Melvin captioned Instagram photos from the game on Sunday, July 5. “Wasn’t pulling for a particular team but man… the energy and especially those rowing Norwegians. Loved it!!! #fifaworldcup2026.” (Norway beat Brazil with a score of 2-1.)

The post’s first slide featured a sweet selfie of Melvin and his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, in front of the stadium. In addition to sharing snaps of fans and a clip of Norway’s rowing celebration with fans, Melvin also posted a photo of himself and Czarniak sitting next to Guthrie and Feldman in the stands.

“Love seeing you guys out with SG and Mike,” one fan commented underneath the post. Another added, “Great game! Happy to see SG out and about.” Someone else shared, “Love you all together.”

A different person posted, “I love these smiles. You can tell the friendship and respect between you and Savannah is genuine and real, lovely picture of you all.” A separate commenter shared, “What a great game!!”

The World Cup game marked a rare public outing for Savannah as the investigation into her mother Nancy Guthrie‘s disappearance continues. Nancy has been missing since February 1, and authorities have yet to name any suspects in the case.

Savannah recently got emotional on the June 23 episode of Today after Melvin shared reports about one of the ransom notes sent to news outlets in the days after Nancy’s abduction. The note allegedly featured an apology and claimed that Nancy had unintentionally passed away.

“I love you guys, and I love this place, and this is unusual and unprecedented, to say the least, to be sitting here,” she told her Today colleagues. “I don’t have any comment on this story, and I’m not involved in our coverage, but I can’t pretend I’m not here.”

Speaking of her family, she added, “We are in agony, and we cannot be at peace. So, no matter how much I try to come out here every day and smile and find that joy — and I will, I promise I will — this is a moment to tell you that we need your help, we’re begging for your help, and I’m not gonna miss that opportunity.”

Feldman recently shared his support for Savannah with a sweet Mother’s Day Instagram tribute. “To the strongest person I know. Surrounding you with love on Mother’s Day,” he captioned a photo of Savannah hugging and kissing the couple’s two kids, Vale and Charley.
