Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly no longer communicating, leaving observers questioning whether the siblings will ever reconcile.
During one royal appearance, Princess Catherine was compelled to deliver a two-word caution to them.
The bond between the brothers initially began deteriorating around the period Prince Harry commenced his relationship with Meghan Markle.
Prince William reportedly expressed concerns about how quickly his brother’s romance was advancing before their 2018 nuptials, according to The Independent.
Relations further deteriorated following Harry and Meghan’s revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey and, subsequently, after the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, in 2023, which contained numerous damaging claims about the Royal Family.

A professional lipreader provided analysis of a strained interaction between Prince William and Prince Harry during an earlier public appearance as the “fab four”, as they were dubbed, alongside Meghan Markle and Princess Catherine.
In an installment of Channel 5’s program Lip-Reading The Royals, where specialists offer their interpretations of silent conversations between family members, Nicola Hickling asserts a dispute occurred between the brothers in 2022.
The episode unfolded merely two days following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

During a royal walkabout at Windsor Castle, the specialist indicated that Catherine may have been observed instructing the brothers to “stop arguing”.
According to the expert, Prince William then reportedly turned to his wife and said: “Let’s move”.
Hickling went on to claim that Meghan sensed a palpable “tension” between the two, allegedly telling the pair: “Not today.”
In more recent developments, following years of distance between the brothers, Prince Harry is said to be eager to repair his fractured relationship with Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex made a five-day visit to the UK this July, during which he met privately with his father, King Charles.
Prince Harry traveled to Highgrove House, the royal family’s Gloucestershire estate, where he was received by the King and Queen Camilla. Notably, no meeting with his brother took place during the visit.
The Duke of Sussex has spoken openly about his desire to reconcile with his family, most prominently during a BBC interview in May 2025.
He stated that any path to reconciliation would ultimately rest with his family, adding: “If they don’t want that, that’s entirely up to them.”
