The On Air With Ryan Seacrest host walked into the studio on Monday and immediately noticed that his chair, equipment, and personal setup appeared to have been disturbed — leading to a hilarious but unexpected accusation.

American Idol' shouldn't let Ryan Seacrest get away

In a clip shared on Instagram on August 17, the show joked that the situation was “a case for Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” as Seacrest tried to figure out who had been sitting in his space while he was away.

“Who was in our chairs? Who was in my chair over the weekend?” Seacrest asked his radio cohosts Tanya Rad and Sisanie.

Rad agreed that whoever had used the space should have put everything back exactly as they found it.

The conversation then turned to Seacrest’s carefully arranged chair setup. The radio host explained that he had added extra support to improve his posture, revealing that engineer Tubbs had placed a booster seat on his chair so he could sit more comfortably during broadcasts.

However, when he returned, the setup was no longer where he expected it to be.

“Who was — Macayla, were you in our seats over the weekend?” Seacrest joked, before also wondering whether others had been “spinning around” on their stools.

But the situation took an even more surprising turn when Seacrest joked that his microphone may have also been affected.

“I think they spit in our microphones too,” he said.

Sisanie immediately reacted with disgust, while Rad revealed that she wipes her microphone every day. Seacrest admitted that he does not follow the same routine.

Although the moment was clearly playful, Seacrest’s reaction showed just how protective he is of his personal workspace.

The unusual studio discovery quickly entertained fans, with many amused by the idea of Seacrest investigating his own “Goldilocks” mystery.

And this was not the first time the host has had strong opinions about his studio habits. Earlier in July, Seacrest also jokingly warned his cohosts after discussing a report about drinking hot coffee in extreme heat — making it clear that giving up his beloved caffeine was not an option.

For Seacrest, one thing remains certain: his chair and his coffee are not up for negotiation.
