Lionel Richie is back home in Los Angeles and reportedly doing well after spending three days in the hospital following a recent concert in St. Louis.

The 77-year-old music legend was hospitalized on August 29 after performing at The Muny. Richie reportedly checked himself into the hospital as a precaution after concerns about his health during the show. He was later admitted to intensive care and underwent cardiac tests.

According to PEOPLE, Richie has since been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home.

Concern for the singer grew after fans noticed that he had asked his team to bring him a chair during the final song of his St. Louis performance, All Night Long.

The hospitalization came after another health scare earlier this summer while Richie was touring with Earth, Wind & Fire.

During the opening show of their Sing a Song All Night Long tour in June, Richie suddenly became dizzy onstage and ended his performance early. Trying to keep the mood light, he joked with the audience about sitting down when feeling dizzy.

Two shows were later postponed while the singer took time to rest and recover. He eventually returned to the stage on June 30.

Richie also addressed fans’ concerns in July with a positive update on social media.

“Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love,” he wrote at the time. “I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you.”

He continued performing throughout the summer and described recent shows as an “absolute joy,” reassuring fans that he was ready to keep the party going.

His latest hospital stay has now temporarily taken him off the road, giving the veteran singer time to recover before his next scheduled performance.

Richie is currently on tour with Earth, Wind & Fire as part of the Sing a Song All Night Long tour. His next scheduled show is set for September 26 in San Francisco.

The upcoming concert is expected to mark his return to the stage after a difficult summer that included two postponed shows and two separate health scares.

For now, fans can breathe a little easier knowing that the legendary singer is back home and recovering.
