The Voice Season 30 is set to return on Monday, September 21, 2026, with a new coaching lineup that has already caught fans’ attention.
Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine are coming back to the big red chairs, while Riley Green and Queen Latifah are joining the show as new coaches.
But one familiar face will be missing.
Michael Bublé, who has become a fan favorite during his time on The Voice, is not part of the Season 30 lineup. The singer has not publicly confirmed why he is sitting out the new season, but his busy schedule offers a few possible clues.
A new country album could be taking priority
One of the biggest reasons may be Bublé’s upcoming country music project.
The singer has been open about his love for country music and previously revealed that he had been working with Nashville producer Dann Huff on a new album.
During an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast in December 2025, Bublé described the project as a love letter to country music and said he had never had a better musical experience.
The album appears to still be a major focus for him.
Bublé also showed his growing connection to the country music world after attending the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards. He presented Song of the Year to Ella Langley and later praised the country music community for welcoming him.
Although Bublé has yet to announce the album’s official title or release date, a new record could require plenty of time for recording, promotion and future touring.
That makes a break from The Voice understandable.
The Voice takes a lot of time
Being a coach on The Voice is a major commitment.
The job involves more than simply appearing on television. Coaches spend long hours filming different rounds, working with contestants and preparing for performances throughout the competition.
For Bublé, the timing may simply not have worked.
He has already had an extremely busy 2026, with performances and appearances taking him across several countries. Adding another season of The Voice to an already packed schedule could have left little room for his own music.
Taking a season away could give him the breathing room he needs to concentrate on his next chapter.
Family could also be a factor
Bublé’s career is only one part of his life.
The singer and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, share four children, Noah, Elias, Vida and Cielo. The couple has often kept their children out of the spotlight while occasionally sharing special family moments with fans.
Earlier this year, Bublé also shared photos and memories from a family trip to Rome, expressing how much he enjoyed the time with his loved ones.
After spending so much of 2026 traveling and performing, some extra family time could be another reason to step away from the show.
Of course, there is still no confirmed explanation for Bublé’s absence from The Voice Season 30.
For now, fans can only look at the clues. His new country album, demanding music schedule and desire to spend time with his family all offer possible reasons for the decision.
And this does not necessarily mean Bublé is done with The Voice for good.
If his country album moves forward as planned, fans may eventually get to see him return to the show with an entirely new sound and a fresh chapter in his career.
The Voice Season 30 premieres Monday, September 21, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and will stream the following day on Peacock.
