Randy Travis Releases Heartfelt New Love Song Dedicated to His Wife, Mary
Country music legend Randy Travis has released a deeply personal new song inspired by the woman who has stood beside him through some of the most difficult moments of his life. Titled “I Know Where I’d Be Without You,” the emotional track is dedicated to his wife, Mary Travis, and arrives ahead of his upcoming album, Same Old Way.
The release offers fans a glimpse of previously unheard recordings from Travis’s musical archives, bringing long-lost material to life with the help of modern technology.

A New Song With a Personal Message
Travis began teasing the song earlier this week, sharing a series of photographs with Mary and hinting at a track about someone who becomes your whole world.
“Some songs take on a whole new meaning with time…” he wrote two days before the song’s release.
On Friday, October 16, 2026, “I Know Where I’d Be Without You” officially debuted. The team behind the release explained that the song holds special significance for Travis, with Mary at the heart of its message.
“For Randy, that person is Mary. This one’s dedicated to the woman who’s stood by his side through it all, and for anyone who’s been blessed with a love they can’t imagine life without.”
Travis and Mary married on March 21, 2015, after reportedly knowing each other for nearly 30 years before their relationship became romantic.
Over the past decade, Mary has remained a constant presence in her husband’s life. Following his devastating health challenges, she has frequently helped him communicate and supported him in areas where his physical limitations make everyday tasks more difficult.

The Story Behind Randy Travis’s Upcoming Album
The new single is the latest preview of Same Old Way, Travis’s forthcoming album, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.
The singer, best known for country classics such as “Forever and Ever, Amen,” first announced the project in August. The album brings together recordings from across his career, including material that has never previously been released.
Travis suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013 that left him with severe damage to the left side of his brain. The stroke resulted in expressive aphasia, a condition that affects his ability to express himself through language, as well as lasting physical limitations that have required long-term wheelchair use.
Many feared the stroke would bring his music career to an end. However, the forthcoming album demonstrates how recordings made before the stroke can continue to reach listeners.
With the help of new technology, Travis’s longtime producer, Kyle Lehning, has remixed and remastered original recordings preserved in the singer’s archives, giving previously unheard performances a new lease on life.

A Collection Spanning Nearly Three Decades
Titled Same Old Way, the 12-track album draws on Travis’s distinguished recording career from 1986 to 2013, according to a press release.
Two tracks, “Fish On” and “I Don’t Care,” were already available before the latest release. “I Know Where I’d Be Without You” now offers another look at the collection, combining the singer’s musical legacy with a message of love and gratitude.
For Travis, the new song carries particular meaning because of the enduring relationship at its centre. Mary has been beside him through the aftermath of his stroke and the challenges that followed, making the dedication especially poignant.
As anticipation builds for Same Old Way, the release gives fans another opportunity to hear music from an artist whose voice and songs have remained an important part of country music.
