GIANNIS Antetokounmpo has been spotted in a heartbreaking moment with his brother.
The 31-year-old Milwaukee Bucks star has been consoled by his brother after suffering a devastating injury.
He was forced off in the first quarter with a leg injury against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA yesterday.
Antetokounmpo Jr. made his way over to the Bucks’ bench where he appeared deep in thought.
His older brother Thanasis, 33, then walked over to console his younger sibling during the fourth quarter against the Nuggets.
Thanasis shook Giannis’ hand before giving his younger brother a hug.
The Bucks went on to suffer a 102-100 loss to the Nuggets.
Giannis also dealt with a worrying injury as he limped off against the Detroit Pistons in December.
He has been embroiled in significant trade rumors throughout the 2025-26 season.
The so-called Greek Freak has been a key star for the Bucks since he first joined the NBA in 2013.
He was selected by the franchise in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft.
His older brother joined him at the Bucks in 2019 with both playing integral roles as they were crowned as NBA champions in 2021.
It has been another impressive season with the Bucks for the Greek Freak.
He has made 30 starts for the franchise during the 2025-26 NBA campaign.
Antetokounmpo has averaged an impressive 24 points per game this season.
But it has now been reported by ESPN that he is expected to miss a significant chunk of the season.
“After the MRI, they will tell me, probably, I popped something in my calf on my soleus or something,” Antetokounmpo said. “This is from my experience being around the NBA.”
“I was feeling it majority of the game but did not want to stop playing. But at the end, I could not move no more, so I had to stop.”
Antetokounmpo is expected to miss four to six weeks through injury.
The Bucks will return to action against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, January 25.
