Who Wants To Be A Millionaire viewers were left stunned as a contestant had to use a lifeline on a “easy” £500 question.

Monday night’s episode saw Neema go up against Jeremy Clark in a chance to win the seven-figure jackpot.

However, it would seem poor Neema hit a few stumbling blocks during the start of her round – even before hitting the £1,000 mark.

For her £500 question, she was asked: “The fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie is the setting for which TV crime drama?”

The four options she could have chosen from included: Death in Paradise, Luther, Silent Witness or Happy Valley.

“I haven’t seen any of these” she revealed while shrugging her shoulders.

Host Jeremy Clarkson quipped: “You know when all your friends said ‘you should go on that show’, and now you’re sitting there going ‘oh no’.”

Unsure on which one out of the four options was the correct answer – which was Death in Paradise – she decided to use one of her lifelines.

After selecting to ‘Ask The Audience’, she decided going with Death in Paradise as a whopping 92 per cent of the audience chose it.

Afterwards, Jeremy joked: “Right well that’s, urm, fairly comprehensive for Death in Paradise.”

Viewers tuning in from home took to social media to react, with many stunned to see someone use a lifeline on a ‘easy’ question so early on.
