THIS REUNION LEFT KELLY RIPA SPEECHLESS. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos finally reunited with beloved former Live executive Art Moore—and Kelly couldn’t believe how much retirement had changed him, saying he looked “20 years younger.” What began as a simple dinner quickly became an emotional reunion with the man Kelly has long credited as one of the biggest reasons she stayed at Live for so many years.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are sharing a happy update on a beloved member of the Live family.

On the Wednesday, July 15, episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the married cohosts revealed they had reunited for dinner with former Live executive Art Moore, offering viewers a glimpse at how he’s enjoying retirement nearly two years after stepping away from WABC.

“We did something fun last night,” Ripa, 55, said. “We saw our beloved Art Moore last night for dinner.”

Turning to viewers who have been wondering how the longtime production executive, 77, has been doing, Ripa said, “He is phenomenal. He makes a strong argument for retirement.”

The show then displayed a photo from the dinner, prompting Ripa to joke that Moore “looks 20 years younger.”

“He’s so funny,” she continued. “I think he watches our show!”

Consuelos, 55, chimed in to share that Moore has also embraced a new routine since leaving the show. “He told us now he wakes up early. … He’s a night owl, but he wakes up at 6,” Consuelos said before looking into the camera and greeting his former colleague directly. “Hey, Art! How you doing, Art?”

Ripa also couldn’t help but laugh at one detail from the evening.

“What’s so funny is that I realized we’re all wearing blazers in this photo,” she joked. “Because we knew we were all having dinner with Art, everybody put on a smart blazer, so we could be elegant.”

“He looks great,” Consuelos added.

“He looks great,” Ripa agreed. “We had so much fun. We miss him still here every day. We love you, Art. It was great to see him last night.”

Moore retired in September 2024 after an extraordinary 53-year career with the network, including 36 years with Live.

He started with the ABC family in 1966 at WKBW-TV in Buffalo, before joining The Morning Show in 1983, years before it evolved into the Live franchise viewers know today. As vice president of programming and the executive in charge of production on the syndicated morning show, he became one of the constants through the show’s many eras, working alongside hosts including Ripa, Consuelos, Regis Philbin, Kathie Lee Gifford, Michael Strahan and Ryan Seacrest.

Along the way, Moore became a fan favorite thanks to his frequent on-camera appearances — especially during the show’s annual Halloween episodes.

When Moore announced his retirement on the May 1, 2024, episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, an emotional Ripa fought back tears as she paid tribute to the executive she has long credited with keeping her at the show.

“The reason that I’m here and that I’ve stayed here for all these years,” Ripa said at the time, calling Moore “so, so important” to both her family and the Live team.

“You are one in a gazillion and you mean so much to all of us here,” she continued. “You’re the most special, devoted, loyal, extraordinary person I’ve ever met in my life. I lack the vocabulary to properly tell you what you mean to me and to all of us here.”

Ripa even joked that she planned to spend the months leading up to his departure trying to convince him to change his mind, while Consuelos playfully wondered whether he had been “the one that broke the camel’s back” after joining the show as cohost in 2023.

The couple’s admiration for Moore stretches back years. In June 2023, Ripa praised Moore for making a demanding job “look easy,” adding that she and the entire Live team were grateful for everything he had done behind the scenes.
