In addition to starting her days on Today, Jenna Bush Hager has been spending her summer enjoying quality time with her family.

The TV personality was absent from the NBC morning show last week, ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. Now, Bush Hager is sharing a glimpse into her time off via Instagram. “Magic of July,” she captioned a Wednesday, July 8, Instagram post. “Scroll to see a fruit plate loving kitty!”

Bush Hager’s post featured several photos from her family’s holiday celebrations, including a sweet snap of herself and her husband, Henry Hager. Among the pics was a silly family photo the couple took with their three kids — Mila, Poppy, and Hal — on the beach. Other photos included snaps of the family spending time out on the water, Hal playing with bubbles, Bush Hager posing for pics with friends, and the group watching fireworks.

As mentioned in the caption, the post’s last slide featured a funny video of one of Bush Hager’s cats licking a plate of fruit she was eating.

Underneath the post, one user commented, “I’m obsessed with your white dress with the strawberries! Oh my God, it’s adorable! And your cat is amazing! I love it all of it.” Referring to a photo of Mila and Poppy walking on the beach, another fan wrote, “Slide 10 is so special … it needs to be painted …maybe by your daughters… each one paints one for the other. Sisters are the best gift.”

Someone else shared, “Thank you for sharing your beautiful family fun filled 4th of July celebration and a happy fruit loving cat.” A different person posted, “Love all the photos especially the last one with kitty!” A separate commenter shared, “Thank you for being REAL and AUTHENTIC! We are missing that in our lives/world today!”

On Saturday, July 4, Bush Hager joined several of her Today colleagues for the show’s special Fourth of July coverage. While Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin reported live from Governors Island in New York City, Bush Hager, Al Roker, and Dylan Dreyer each reported from ships stationed in New York Harbor.

Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones opened up about how they spent the holiday on the Monday, July 6, episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle. “It was really nice. We were here in the city, so we were able to see the fireworks from home,” Jones said of her Fourth of July celebration. “Where I live, you can see the fireworks from my bathroom. So, I showed Jenna a picture where we were all in my bathroom, watching the fireworks.”

Bush Hager, for her part, shared, “We had a great time. We had some time off, which was wonderful. And then, we came back here for the Fourth. It was cool. … We were part of the tall boat parade, America 250 parade, and I spent the night on the Queen Mary 2.”
