The Whisper Man Takes Over Netflix’s Top 10 With 33.4 Million Views
Netflix viewers have flocked to The Whisper Man, making the chilling crime thriller the most-watched title on the platform’s English-language film chart this week.
The Adam Scott-led movie collected 33.4 million views, putting it firmly at No. 1. The thriller follows Tom, a widowed father whose young son Jake is abducted, forcing him to confront the possibility that the crime could be connected to a notorious serial killer who has been behind bars since his arrest.
Based on Alex North’s novel, The Whisper Man also stars Michelle Monaghan, Robert De Niro and Hamish Linklater.
The film’s strong performance comes as another documentary, Turning Point: Generation 9/11, entered the chart at No. 2 with 5.2 million views. Released 25 years after the September 11 attacks, the documentary examines how that single day influenced the generation that followed.
Death of the Pastor’s Wife Remains No. 1 on TV
On Netflix’s English-language TV chart, Death of the Pastor’s Wife continued its run at the top, recording 13.9 million views.
The documentary series focuses on the life of South Carolina worship leader Mica Miller, her troubled marriage to charismatic pastor John-Paul “JP” Miller, and the abuse she experienced before her death.
Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black Season 3 held onto No. 2 with 8 million views. The series continues the story of the Bellarie family’s hair-care empire, as Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, and Mallory, played by Crystle Stewart, form an unlikely alliance while making increasingly dangerous decisions.
The Gentlemen Makes a Strong Return
Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen also made a notable impact on the chart following the release of its second season.
Season 2 debuted at No. 3 with 6.7 million views, while Season 1 returned at No. 5 with 3.2 million views.
Theo James stars as Eddie Horniman, a British soldier who unexpectedly inherits his family estate and discovers that a marijuana empire lies beneath it. In the new season, Eddie and Susie, played by Kaya Scodelario, take their growing business beyond Britain and into the lakeside villas of Italy.
The series has already been renewed for Season 3.
Outer Banks and Instadocs Stay in the Top 10
The fifth season of Outer Banks ranked No. 4 on the English TV list with 3.3 million views.
In its final episodes, the Pogues face a major loss while working together to secure a valuable artifact that could transform their lives.
Meanwhile, Instadocs: The Decoy Plane landed at No. 6 with 2.9 million views. The latest installment examines a July 2026 incident involving President Trump, who boarded Air Force One before reportedly slipping off the plane into a catering truck and secretly boarding another aircraft, leaving traveling reporters unaware that he was no longer aboard.
Season 2 of comedian Leanne Morgan’s Leanne debuted at No. 9 with 2.1 million views.
The feel-good sitcom follows a fictionalized version of Morgan as Leanne continues navigating self-discovery and the possibility of starting over later in life.
At No. 10, Earle Meets World recorded 1.8 million views. The eight-episode unscripted series follows Gen Z influencer Alix Earle, offering a look at the complications of her blended family and ever-changing circle of friends.
International Titles Also Make Their Mark
Netflix’s non-English charts saw strong performances from titles outside the English-language lineup.
The Danish thriller The Secret Woman climbed to No. 1 on the non-English film chart with 19.3 million views. Adapted from Anna Ekberg’s novel, the movie follows an amnesiac woman who discovers that she was once the heiress to a shipping empire — and begins uncovering the reason she walked away from that life.
On the non-English TV chart, Korean crime thriller Mousetrap took the top position with 4.4 million views.
The series stars Ryu Jun-yeol as a reclusive novelist who joins forces with a ruthless loan shark to track down a mysterious identity thief known as “The Rat.”
From a serial-killer mystery to returning dramas and international thrillers, Netflix’s latest Top 10 shows just how varied the week’s biggest streaming hits have become. At the center of the English film chart, however, The Whisper Man has clearly captured viewers’ attention, leading the list with 33.4 million views.
