“HE PICKED UP RYAN SEACREST… THEN WON A CORVETTE.” Fans thought Jason’s $78,000 comeback and wild on-stage celebration was already unforgettable. Then came five envelopes. One Corvette. Four empty cards. One choice later… the entire studio exploded. Now the Wheel of Fortune fan favorite is revealing what happened after his unbelievable $156,000 dream run.

“HE PICKED UP RYAN SEACREST… THEN WALKED AWAY WITH A CORVETTE.”

What started as a wild Wheel of Fortune celebration quickly turned into one of the most unbelievable winning streaks the show has seen in years — and now the contestant at the center of it all is finally revealing what happened after the cameras stopped rolling.

Jason Nieradka, a bartender from Kernersville, North Carolina, became an instant fan favorite after exploding with emotion during his May 14 episode victory. Seconds after solving the final puzzle and locking in nearly $78,000 in winnings, Nieradka completely lost control in celebration — grabbing host Ryan Seacrest, lifting him off the ground, and spinning him around live on television while the audience screamed.

But viewers had no idea the biggest moment was still coming.

The following night, Wheel of Fortune brought back the top winners of the week for one final high-stakes showdown. Standing under the bright studio lights beside four other contestants, Nieradka faced a nerve-racking twist involving a luxury Chevy Corvette Stingray personally selected by comedy and car legend Jay Leno.

Five envelopes sat waiting onstage.

Only one contained the Corvette.

The others? Empty “Wheel of Fortune” cards.

As tension filled the studio, contestants grabbed their envelopes one by one while fans at home tried to guess who would walk away with the car. Then came the reveal that sent the audience into chaos.

Jason had picked the winning envelope.

Suddenly, the bartender who had already shocked viewers with his huge cash victory saw his total winnings skyrocket to an astonishing $156,060 in cash and prizes. Even more surreal, the winning envelope itself became part of the prize after Jay Leno, Ryan Seacrest, and Vanna White all signed it for him backstage.

Now, days after the emotional episode aired, Nieradka is opening up about the whirlwind experience — including the pressure of hiding such a massive secret for weeks.

“It’s not easy to hide a lot of emotions,” he admitted during an interview with WFMY News. Because the episode was filmed back in April, Nieradka had to quietly return to normal life while secretly knowing he had just won more than most contestants dream about.

And according to him, staying silent may have been harder than solving the puzzles themselves.

“Especially when things like this happen,” he explained. “But I did a good job keeping things under wraps. I’m really happy with how everything played out.”

Despite suddenly becoming one of Wheel of Fortune’s biggest winners of the year, Nieradka says fame and money haven’t changed him much — at least not yet.

The North Carolina bartender revealed he plans to enjoy part of the winnings with a vacation, but surprisingly, he has no plans to leave his job behind.

“I enjoy what I do for work,” he said. “It wasn’t painful for me at all to come back and get behind the bar again.”

Fans online were stunned by that response, with many praising him for staying grounded despite his life-changing victory.

Others were more fascinated by what happened behind the scenes of the famous game show itself.

Nieradka admitted he expected Wheel of Fortune to be professional and organized, but he was shocked by just how perfectly everything operated once contestants arrived on set.

“You’ve got 15 people in the studio who’ve never been there before,” he explained. “And somehow the staff makes everything feel incredibly smooth. The way they guide you through it all, it’s really easy.”

Since the episodes aired, Nieradka says messages have flooded in from old friends, former coworkers, and even complete strangers who recognized him from television.

Some people he hadn’t spoken to in years suddenly reached out after watching him celebrate with Ryan Seacrest and drive away with one of the most talked-about prizes of the season.

For many fans, though, the reason his story exploded online had less to do with the money — and more to do with the emotion.

Because in a television era where game show reactions can sometimes feel rehearsed, viewers say Jason’s excitement felt completely real.

One second he was a bartender solving puzzles on national TV.

The next, he was clutching a signed envelope, standing beside a Corvette, and trying to process the fact that his entire life had just changed in front of millions of people.
