A new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is back, and celebrities are pairing up to try to win $1 million for their charities once again. However, some fans may have wondered why Larry David was paired up with his daughter, Cazzie, and not another celebrity.

Well, it turns out Cazzie David is actually a screenwriter and actress. She’s just less well-known. Read on to find out what we know about her.

Larry and David are set to be on the premiere episode on Wednesday, July 22, where they use Jon Hamm as their “Phone-a-Friend.” Be sure to tune in to find out how they do.

Who are her parents?

First things first. Let’s get to who brought Cazzie into this world. Her dad is Larry David, a comedian, writer, and actor. He is best known for his role on Curb Your Enthusiasm and for co-creating Seinfeld. Larry also wrote and starred in the HBO show Fridays, as well as multiple episodes of Saturday Night Live, among other roles. Currently, he is the creator, writer, and producer of the sketch comedy show Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness. 

Cazzie’s mother is Laurie Lennard, whom Larry was married to from 1993 to 2007. Lennard is an environmental activist, producer, and writer. Larry and Laurel also share one son, Romy David. Larry married Ashley Underwood in 2020. Lennard is now married to a man named Robert Thorpe.

What is her job?

Cazzie is a scriptwriter and actress. She cocreated and costarred in the web series Eighty-Sixed in 2017 with Elisa Kalani. However, it ended only six months later. They then went on to create Half-Empty for Amazon Prime Video, which was never picked up for a series. She also had a recurring role on Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy. Cazzie has starred in a few films and even made an appearance in an episode of Hannah Montana with her dad.

In 2020, she also released a collection of essays called No One Asked For This, which reached number two on The New York Times Paperback Nonfiction Best Sellers List. Cazzie also came out with a second book of Essays titled Delusions in March 2026.

She used to date Pete Davidson

Before he made headlines with Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson dated Cazzie. In her collection of essays, David wrote about Davidson and their breakup as he started dating Ariana Grande. Davidson and David dated for two and a half years before splitting in 2018, according to People. The rest of her relationships are unknown.

Cazzie has a degree in Film Writing

According to Emerson College’s website, Cazzie graduated from there in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Writing for Film and TV. The college is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

She has cats

Cazzie has a Bengal cat, which is one that looks like a tiny leopard, named Link. “Had a nightmare Link turned into a worm last night. Thank G she’s not a worm,” Cazzie captioned the post in 2017.

The Instagram post had Link lying on a rug on the ground, looking off to the side. Then, in 2022, Cazzie introduced a new cat to her followers. This one was a small gray tabby.

“Found another cat with ears as big as mine,” she captioned that post, but did not share their name. She took various pictures with the cat, including one where they were snuggled up right next to her head.
