Following a 1992 trial, he was found guilty of 15 counts of murder and sentenced to 15 consecutive life sentences with no possibly of parole. Dahmer was beaten to death in prison in November 1994.
A synopsis for the docu-series teases: “Chilling four-part series examining notorious American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s childhood, combative parents, obsession with dead animals, strange behaviour in high school, and first sexual yearnings.”
While many viewers missed the show when it premiered in 2019, those who caught it were completely blown away.
One IMDB user raved: “To be honest I loved this series, it was interesting, I love the re-enactment scenes and it was well made in telling the story of Jeffery.”
Responding to critiques about the show being ‘interview heavy,’ the fan added: “I can understand where people are coming from about how the interviews with the people were a bit annoying but it showed an outside perspective on the case and on Jeffery’s life as some of the people being interviewed worked on the case so they gave first hand information.
“I really loved this series and I hope that another serial killer series can be made in this similar style as I enjoy it and it wasn’t boring and kept me watching for hours!”
