Crime drama fanatics have been “blown away” by this newly released ITV series viewers won’t want to skip.
Those obsessed with comedy crime shows like Death in Paradise, Benidorm is Murder and Beyond Paradise are in for a treat with ITV’s latest series. Hailed as an “addictive” watch, Sunny Nights is a dark comedy crime drama that’s now ready to stream for free on ITVX.
Rather than set against the stunning backdrops of the Caribbean or Spain, Sunny Nights is located Down Under in Sydney, Australia, revolving around American brother-sister duo Martin and Vikki Marvin.
While Martin hopes to rekindle his relationship with his estranged wife, Vikki is looking for a fresh start with the pair opening up their own tanning business ‘Tansform’.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long before they accidentally get involved in a blackmailing plot and anger a major Sydney syndicate crime boss.
Starring in the eight-part series as siblings Martin and Vicki are The Four Seasons actor Will Forte and The Good Place star D’Arcy Carden.
They are joined by a number of other familiar faces including Hunt for the Wilderpeople’s Rachel House, Arrow star Jessica De Gouw and ex-Australian rugby league player Willie Mason who makes his acting debut in Sunny Nights.
The series was first released in Australia at the end of 2025 before coming out in the US on Hulu in March 2026 and finally, it’s landed in the UK today, Sunday, August 16.

“The writing is smart, the jokes hit, the production value is great and the acting blew me away,” a fan wrote on IMdB. “After all the twists and turns in this story, I’m literally on the edge of my seat.”
A second shared: “Story was fantastic…I really enjoyed it and watched all 8 episodes over three nights. I hope it gets picked up for season two.”
Another added: “This show is really fun and addicting. I’m hoping there’s going to be season two because they’re leaving us hanging and I’ve been watching it non-stop unfortunately I binge watched it in two days.”
While a fellow user believes it has “wisps of Breaking Bad notes in how the dark comedy underlies and inspires the crime story”.
