Filming Wraps on Netflix’s New Harlan Coben Adaptation
Production company Quay Street Productions shared the news on Instagram, celebrating the completion of filming and thanking everyone involved.
The announcement was accompanied by three photographs showing cast and crew members together on set.
The company also teased additional promotional material, including behind-the-scenes footage and first-look images, suggesting viewers will soon get a closer look at the highly anticipated drama.
The project marks another collaboration between Netflix and Harlan Coben, whose mystery novels have inspired several successful television adaptations.
The Woods previously received a Polish-language Netflix adaptation, but the upcoming production offers a new interpretation featuring a British cast.
A 20-Year-Old Disappearance Leads to a Disturbing Discovery
The story centers on Paul Cope Copeland, played by Tom Bateman, a barrister whose life has been overshadowed by the mysterious disappearance of his sister Camille.
Twenty years earlier, Camille vanished under circumstances that left her family without answers.
Despite extensive uncertainty surrounding her fate, no trace of her has ever been discovered.
The case takes an unexpected turn when investigators find the body of a man believed to have been murdered alongside Camille.
The discovery raises the possibility that his sister may have survived.
Determined to uncover what really happened, Cope begins investigating the past, encountering long-buried secrets, deception and family conflicts that threaten the life he has built.
Michelle Keegan Leads an Impressive Ensemble Cast
Michelle Keegan stars as Lucy Silverfield, a character whose personal secrets play an important role in the unfolding mystery.
Discussing the role, Keegan explained that Lucy’s emotional complexity was one of the main reasons she was attracted to the project.
The actress said the character’s vulnerability and internal struggles gave her an opportunity to explore a particularly challenging performance.
Alongside Keegan and Bateman, the cast includes Mandeep Dhillon, Pearce Quigley, Rade Sherbedgia, James Buckley, Tracy-Ann Oberman and Tom Allen.
The ensemble brings together performers with extensive experience across British television, comedy and drama.
Fool Me Once Writer Reunites With Michelle Keegan
The series is co-written by Danny Brocklehurst, who has previously worked on several television adaptations of Harlan Coben’s novels.
Brocklehurst also has an established creative relationship with Keegan.
The pair previously collaborated on Netflix’s Fool Me Once, as well as Ten Pound Poms and Brassic.
Their reunion adds another familiar connection to a project built around Coben’s trademark combination of unresolved mysteries, family secrets and unexpected revelations.
With principal photography now complete, The Woods moves closer to its Netflix premiere.
The streaming service has not yet announced when the limited series will be available to watch.
