Crime drama enthusiasts have just discovered their next must-watch series – and it’s set to be utterly gripping.
The Killings at Parrish Station has arrived on HBO Max, following a cold case from 1987 that’s reopened 37 years on, after a string of eerily similar “chilling” murders forces police to revisit the enigmatic investigation, reports the Express.
The six-part Australian drama weaves together two parallel timelines, beginning in the 1980s with Detective Georgia Cooke (portrayed by Mia Wasikowska) investigating a horrific massacre at a remote research facility in the blistering outback.
Four scientists have been brutally slaughtered at the isolated laboratory, with the sole survivor appearing to be the prime suspect.

Yet as Cooke probes deeper into the investigation, she uncovers a labyrinthine case steeped in madness, ceremony and the supernatural.

The investigation consumes Cooke entirely, ultimately destroying her career, tearing apart her family and shattering her mental wellbeing as she pursues the truth.
Jump forward nearly four decades and Cooke finds herself back on the investigation, forced to face her own inner turmoil and the unsettling possibility that the nightmare of Parrish Station may have never truly concluded.
Alongside Alice in Wonderland star Wasikowska, The Killings at Parrish Station features Heather Mitchell from Road to the Deep North, Elvis actor Xavier Samuel, and Robert Taylor from Longmire.
