13-Year-Old Brianna Cameron Leaves The Voice Coaches Stunned With Huge Tina Turner Performance — Before Riley Green Brings Out His Dog to Battle Kelly Clarkson
Brianna Cameron waited until the final audition of The Voice Season 30 premiere to deliver one of the night’s biggest surprises.
The New Jersey singer stepped onto the stage and tackled Tina Turner’s “River Deep – Mountain High,” earning chair turns from Kelly Clarkson and Riley Green.
That alone gave the two coaches plenty to fight over.
But when Cameron revealed she was only 13 years old, the reaction changed completely.
Adam Levine and Queen Latifah immediately regretted keeping their chairs facing away — and Cameron still had another remarkable connection to Tina Turner waiting to be revealed.

Cameron’s voice had given the coaches a very different impression of the singer standing behind them.
Levine admitted that attempting such a demanding song would have been impressive at any age.
“I could barely even speak when I was 13,” he joked.
He praised Cameron for having the courage to tackle the Turner classic and told her she had done “an amazing job.”
Clarkson’s reaction was even more direct.
“Ma’am. I thought you were grown,” she told Cameron.
But the teenager’s connection to the song went much deeper than simply being a Tina Turner fan.

Cameron revealed that she had portrayed a young Tina Turner on the Broadway tour of the late singer’s musical.
That revelation gave Queen Latifah another reason to regret not turning.
And the surprises kept coming.
Cameron explained that she had also appeared as a guest on Queen Latifah’s series The Equalizer.
Both performers are from New Jersey, meaning their paths had already crossed in several unexpected ways before Cameron ever arrived on The Voice.
“All these places you’ve been that we’ve crossed paths,” Queen Latifah told her, “you have found your way here to The Voice.”
She believed the teenager had arrived exactly where she belonged.
“You are meant to be on this show in this moment.”
Unfortunately for Queen Latifah, only Green and Clarkson could actually compete to coach her.
Riley Green calls it the biggest voice he’s heard
Green didn’t hold back when describing Cameron’s performance.
He told the 13-year-old she had “the biggest voice I’ve heard on this show.”
“I’m extremely impressed by you,” Green said. “I have no question you could sing anything.”
Clarkson had an equally enthusiastic reaction, praising Cameron’s vocal runs and particularly the rasp that emerged when her voice broke during the performance.
“It was insane!” Clarkson told her.
But Clarkson also had something Green couldn’t match: a formidable track record on the competition.
“I’ve won this show, like, four times,” she reminded Cameron.
Clarkson told the teenager she believed she could take her all the way to the finale, praising the maturity and determination she was already displaying at only 13.
Green apparently realized he needed something more powerful than another coaching pitch.
So he brought out Carl.
Riley Green deploys his secret weapon
Green’s dog Carl has become part of the country singer’s strategy for convincing contestants to join his team.
With Cameron seemingly leaning toward Clarkson, Green brought Carl onto the stage and knelt beside him.
“I just want you to look in his eyes,” Green told Cameron.
He asked her to consider what Carl would want her to do before delivering the pressure-filled punchline.
“Just don’t let us down.”
It was an impressive last attempt.
It didn’t work.

Cameron ultimately selected Clarkson as her coach.
Clarkson celebrated another victory over Green and couldn’t resist joking about why Carl had failed to change the teenager’s mind.
“Brianna might be a cat lady,” she said afterward.
Clarkson then suggested Cameron might simply prefer her own dogs, Henry and Charlie.
Green wasn’t ready to accept defeat quite so easily.
“If I could call back to when Carl was a puppy, it would’ve been over,” he told Clarkson.
The loss appeared particularly painful because it wasn’t Carl’s first recruiting failure of the day.

Green later sat down with his dog for a one-on-one conversation about his performance as Team Riley’s supposed secret weapon.
“Carl, you picked Kelly over me twice today,” Green told him.
“We gotta work on this Carl.”
For Clarkson, however, the outcome gave her a remarkably young singer with experience well beyond her age.
Cameron entered the competition at just 13, but she had already toured in a Tina Turner musical and appeared on television before taking on one of Turner’s biggest songs for her Blind Audition.
Green heard what he called the biggest voice of the competition.
Clarkson heard someone she believes has the ability to reach the finale.
And two other coaches were left wishing they had turned around before discovering just how young the singer behind that enormous voice really was.
