Royal fans had things to say after it was announced that Meghan Markle earned her first Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix show. The first series of With Love, Meghan launched on Netflix in 2025 and coincided with the unveiling of her lifestyle brand As Ever, with her first products regularly promoted throughout the show.

Nominated in the outstanding lifestyle programme category, the series will compete against NBC’s George to the Rescue, Hallmark’s The Motherhood, The Wizard of Paws and A Different Breed. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on October 30. But some fans criticised the nomination and called the show a “boring slog”.

One user said on X: “Tell me without telling me that there are almost zero shows to compete in this category.

“‘With Love, Meghan’ was the antithesis of entertainment. It was an abysmal, boring slog at best and getting through one episode was painful.”

Another one agreed: “I had the same thought. The nomination sounds more impressive until you look at what it’s actually competing against. My vote is for Wizard of Paws just because the name is cool!”

A third one blasted: “This is absurd!! That show was bad.”
