Kate Middleton Puts On A Brave Face As William Leaves Norfolk For Church Ahead Of Harry’s Reported UK Return

Talk about awkward timing… Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out for a Sunday church service near Balmoral just days after the bombshell news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing to spend an extended period back in Britain.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were seen arriving at Crathie Kirk on August 23 with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. They joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and other members of the Royal Family for the traditional summer service.

Kate appeared relaxed and was photographed smiling as William drove the family to the church.

Yet behind the polished royal appearance, the timing could hardly be more intriguing.

Harry’s return puts royal tensions back under the microscope

News that Harry and Meghan are reportedly returning to the UK with Archie and Lilibet has instantly revived questions about the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family.

The couple are expected to spend an extended period in Britain, with their children reportedly preparing to attend school in the UK from September. Their return does not currently mean a return to official royal duties, and the Sussexes are expected to remain private, non-working royals.

For William, however, the situation is particularly sensitive.

Relations between the brothers have remained strained, despite signs that Harry’s relationship with King Charles may have improved. Reports suggest there is still significant distance between William and his younger brother.

And with Harry potentially spending much more time in Britain, that distance could become considerably harder to maintain.
