“‘THEY WON… BUT NOW EVERYONE IS ASKING THE SAME QUESTION.’” A festive charity special on The Chase turned from a Christmas feel-good moment into a heated online debate after a celebrity team managed to beat Shaun Wallace and secure one of the biggest charity wins of the season. While the studio erupted in celebration and charities prepared for a huge donation, viewers at home began questioning the fairness, difficulty, and pressure of the final chase itself. What should have been a simple holiday victory quickly became something else entirely — a win that some are calling inspiring, and others are still arguing over.

FANS of The Chase Celebrity Christmas Special were over the moon tonight as stars won a whopping £200,000 for charity.

Celebrities Jenni Falconer, Lesley Joseph, Judge Jules and Patrick Kielty beat The Chaser Shaun Wallace after storming ahead in the final round.

As the famous faces jumped up and down in celebration, host Bradley Walsh said: “All I can say is, well played. Guess what you’ve not been caught, you’ve outrun the Chaser.”

Admitting defeat, Shaun added: “Fantastic performance, well done.”

The celebs were playing for four charities – Children’s Trust, Cancer Research UK, Acting for Others, Cancer Fund for Children.

Their massive prize fund means each charity will be delivered £50,000.

But others were convinced the show was “rigged”.

One said: “Celebrity chase is so clearly rigged, what a s***show.”

Another added: “Getting ridiculous now.”

Someone else said: “Clearly the #TheChase production company has been making the questions really hard in the regular episodes so people don’t win and saving up the prize money to give away in these Christmas episodes. That’s £340,000 in 2 shows.”

The Chase fans were left open-mouthed after Anne Hegarty wowed with her glamorous Christmas look on the show last night.

The 63-year-old Chaser usually appears on the show with her trademark severe suited look, however, she looked completely different during the festive special.

Anne took to her seat wearing a glamorous dress and looked a world away from her traditional fashion statement – ditching her normally bland wardrobe staples.

She matched her festive frock with a full glam make-up look, complete with red lipstick and had her cropped hair coiffed into soft curls.

And fans of the show couldn’t believe their eyes, with many taking to Twitter to sing her praises for her stunning new look.

Alongside a heart emoji, one viewer said:  “It’s nice to see Anne out of that dreadful outfit she wears daily on the Chase. Anne, you look amazing.”
