Jenna Bush Hager is sending a special message to her daughter on her birthday!

On Thursday, Aug. 14, the TV personality, 44, belatedly celebrated her daughter Poppy’s 11th birthday with a sweet post on her Instagram Story, showing the preteen standing inside a lush garden.

Poppy poses with her hands held together, wearing an all-white outfit and her hair pulled back as she smiles for the camera.

“Happiest birthday (a day late!) to my darling Poppy. Just like the flower: vibrant and effervescent. And the funniest in any room. You are loved,” Bush Hager wrote.

In addition to Poppy, Bush Hager and husband Henry Hager share daughter Mila, 13, and son Hal, 6.

Earlier this month, the mom of three and her Today with Jenna & Sheinelle co-host Sheinelle Jones discussed how they determine the boundary of what’s too private to share about their kids on national television.

The duo, who often discuss both their kids and their home life on their show, spoke with Parents and were asked if their kids ever ask them to stop talking about them on TV — to which both women quickly responded “yes.”

“I think both of us put the privacy of our children and the happiness of our children above anything that has to do with television,” said Bush Hager.

Jones, 48, noted that one of her predecessors, Kathie Lee Gifford, used to talk about her son Cody all the time on television. But the mom of three added that there was no social media then and kids were all at school when the show aired.

“But nowadays, some of the things that we talk about end up on social media, and so I have to be conscious of that fact,” said Jones, who welcomed twins Clara and Uche Jr., 14, and son Kayin, 16, with her late husband Uche Ojeh.

Bush Hager remembered a time when her daughter Mila actually asked her to stop sharing her stories on her show.

“When your kids are young, they can’t state if something makes them uncomfortable, and the older they get, they can,” she said. “A couple years ago, Mila went to camp, and I read her letter on the air because it was like, ‘I’m homesick.’”

“And she was like, ‘Mom, that’s embarrassing. That was for you,’ ” remembered Bush Hager. “It was such a good lesson because that changed everything for me. I sort of ask myself before I speak, like, is this for me? Is this like information that she just wants safe inside our home, and is it my story to tell, or is it her story and I’m telling it?”
