Today host and meteorologist Dylan Dreyer revealed she once concealed that she experienced a miscarriage while on vacation.
In the July 2 episode of the Today podcast The Parent Chat, Dreyer, 44, spoke with The Viall Files hosts Nick Viall and his wife, Natalie Joy, about her experience. The couple recently welcomed twin baby girls on June 30, after Natalie experienced three miscarriages in 2025.
“I’ve suffered one miscarriage, and I remember, we were kind of on a group vacation,” Dreyer shared of her own prior experience. “So, there was just like a lot of people around, and everybody’s happy, everybody’s on vacation.”
She remembered “hiding the fact that I was pregnant,” and “pretending to drink, but not really drinking.”
“I remember also hiding the fact that I was, in addition to hiding the fact that I was pregnant, dealing with this miscarriage,” Dreyer shared. “And I’m surrounded by people.”
She said there was “literally no one” to talk to about the miscarriage.
“I’m crying in my bed in so much pain, because no one really tells you how painful, physically painful, it is,” Dreyer continued. “And I’m like, ‘Man, I wish I could share this with someone,’ and you can’t always do that.”

In the episode of The Parent Chat, Natalie, 27, opened up about her own miscarriages, and why she decided to discuss her experience publicly.
She said that she did “not necessarily” feel that she owed fans an explanation, but that they “created a very safe space for us” amid the couple’s pregnancy losses.
She recalled not knowing how to return to The Viall Files without addressing her personal life.
“How do I talk pop culture, like things that [I don’t care], you know, like this is just real life things that are happening to me and I can’t go on this show and act like they’re not,” Natalie shared.
Nick, 45, and Natalie first announced they were expecting twins in an Instagram post shared on Feb. 4, shortly after daughter River turned 2.
“It’s been an emotional journey starting with multiple miscarriages, but we are so grateful to have our rainbow babies,” Nick and Natalie told PEOPLE exclusively of their twin baby girls, Iris Parker and Dove Tomlin.
New episodes of The Parent Chat are released on Thursdays.
