Kate Middleton is back in the Royal Box for a staple of her summer calendar: the men’s finals at Wimbledon.

The Princess of Wales, 44, stepped out on the final day of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London on July 12, alongside her husband, Prince William, 44, and their two eldest children, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11. The family received a lengthy standing ovation from the star-studded crowd as they took their seats in the front row of the Royal Box at Centre Court to watch the final match.

Other attendees in the Royal Box included Anna Wintour, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, Andrew Garfield, Tom Hiddleston, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Dennis Hoffman, Sarah Pidgeon, Rami Malek, Ben Stiller and more.

Princess Kate wore a green midi dress by Emilia Wickstead for the occasion, perfectly coordinating with the purple-and-green pin she wears to signify her role as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where the tournament is held.

The late Queen Elizabeth bestowed the role upon her granddaughter-in-law, who is also a tennis player and has a court at her country home, in 2016.

As patron, Kate also has a job to do during the men’s and women’s singles finals: the honor of presenting trophies to the winners and runners-up. On Saturday, she awarded the women’s trophy, the Venus Rosewater Dish, to Czech player Linda Noskova; following the men’s final, she will hand the pineapple-topped gentleman’s trophy to either Italy’s Jannik Sinner or Germany’s Alexander Zverev.

The gentlemen’s singles final is a match that Kate is known to bring her family to, as she has previously attended the championship with Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte in both 2023 and 2025.

In 2024, Princess Kate also watched that match with Princess Charlotte and her sister, Pippa, in an appearance significant as her second major public event during her cancer treatment.

Princess Kate made her 2026 Wimbledon debut on July 2 in a solo appearance that marked a milestone after she navigated cancer.

The outing served as her first return to see early-round play since 2023, as she only attended the tournament’s finals weekends in 2024 and 2025 during her treatment for cancer and ongoing recovery.
