Meghan Markle is opening up about the unexpected person in her life who inspires her to be brave: her 5-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.

In an exclusive video for InStyle published on August 7, Meghan sat down alongside filmmaker Alysa Nahmias for an adorable Q&A session in honor of the Girl Scout documentary Cookie Queens. In the video, Meghan fielded questions—many of them appropriately cookie-related—from kids. (Meghan’s favorite Girl Scout cookie is the Trefoil, which she dips in jam.)

One question came from a 4-year-old named Poppy, who sweetly asked, “What makes you feel brave?”

“My daughter,” Meghan quickly said, with a smile on her face.

“Every day when I feel a little bit like, ‘Oh gosh, can I do this?’ I go, ‘Lili would do it,” the Duchess of Sussex continued. The Suits alum and Harry have two kids together: Archie, who was born in 2019, and Lilibet, born in 2021.

Nahmias agreed with the answer and said she feels “the same way” about her own kids, despite them being “bigger now.”

The documentary, directed by Nahmias, was produced by Meghan and her husband Prince Harry’s company Archewell Productions. The film’s logline describes the documentary as “four tenacious girls strive to be a top-selling ‘Cookie Queen,’ navigating an $800 million business in which innocence and ambition collide.”

Elsewhere in the video, a 9-year-old named Elysee asked Meghan, “What’s a skill every young girl should learn?” The As Ever founder responded: “Really early on, one of the most important skills you can learn is to trust your gut. If it doesn’t feel right, it’s probably not right.”

Three-year-old Tyler then asked, “What’s your superpower?” “I mean, I was just thinking it’s being a mom,” she said. “All moms, I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all, and I don’t know, enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time.”

Meghan then went on to praise the young girls she spent time with through the process of creating the documentary, calling them “multidimensional and honest.” “They’ve all become close with each other and support each other,” she added.

On July 29, Meghan attended a special screening of the film in Ojai, California, at an actual Girl Scout camp. She switched up the typical breezy summer style, instead opting for a knit top and white shorts for the occasion, posing in several photos with her hair slicked back into a ponytail.
