When it comes to finding style inspiration, Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones don’t have to look far outside of the Today family.
During the Friday, July 24, episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, the hosting duo discussed how pop star Zara Larsson recently sold several items from her personal closet on the secondhand fashion website Depop. “It got us to thinking, if you could shop in a celebrity’s closet, who would that celebrity be?” Jones asked Bush Hager.
Jones, for her part, said she would love to steal Tracee Ellis Ross‘ style. “I think she has a gorgeous wardrobe,” Jones stated, while Bush Hager called the actress “chic.”
Jones went on to share her other surprising style icon. “You know who else wears great clothes? I mean, it, like, fits my arm. Al Roker‘s wife, Deborah Roberts,” she revealed. “Shout-out to Deborah Roberts.”
Bush Hager noted that Roberts does a “sample sale.” Jones explained, “She believes in purging and not having too much stuff. So, every year — she won’t mind us saying, ‘cause she’s talked about it — she gives away a bunch of her clothes, or she sells them.”

Jones said she would buy pieces from Roberts’ closet as fast as fans purchased items from Larsson’s Depop shop. “Can we go to that? Let’s go to that,” Bush Hager said of Roberts’ clothing sale. Jones agreed, stating, “Oh, yeah. We have colleagues who have gone.”

Roberts’ most recent charity clothing sale in December 2025 made headlines, as The View‘s Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin reportedly purchased many of Roberts’ items before the sale officially began, leaving other attendees disappointed, per Page Six.
Hostin and Behar discussed the sale on an episode of The View‘s Behind the Table podcast that same month. “What I will say is that I heard about the Deborah Roberts sale from my hair and makeup team. And so, I did text Deborah Roberts to ask her about it because The View team was not told about it,” Hostin explained. “What I did was I asked Deborah what time it was going to begin, and she said at 12, and I said, ‘Can I get there at 9?’ and she said, ‘Yes.’ I then went over to my sample sale buddy, Joy Behar, and I told her about the sale. And so, we went up at around 9, after the ‘Hot Topics’ meeting.”
Hostin added, “In our defense, we bought a few things, but not as much as Lara Spencer. And Joy did get a lot of stuff.” Behar noted that she purchased “four things,” and that there were “many more things” still available after they went through the items.
“I got a pair of earrings. I bought a pair of earrings for somebody on the staff as a gift,” Behar shared. “And I bought a pair of sunglasses and a bracelet.”
Hostin went on to call Roberts “one of the best dressed people at ABC.” Behar agreed before joking, “Not anymore. She’s giving it all away.”
