He Insists Nothing Was Deleted…! Nolan Wells’ Friend Breaks His Silence As Chilling New Claims About The Teen’s Final Hours Deepen The Mystery! As Nolan’s family continues to question what happened in the hours before his death, his friend Warren Hudson is now publicly responding to one of the case’s biggest questions: Nolan’s phone.

A friend of Nolan Wells has spoken out about what he said happened to the teen’s phone before he disappeared during a July Fourth party on Mississippi’s Horn Island and was found dead two days later.

In the latest video of a multi-part interview with conservative commentator Brandon Tatum, Warren Hudson directly addressed Wells leaving his phone behind before his July 4 disappearance.

Much remains unclear about Wells’ final hours alive before he seemingly vanished in plain sight from the island party.

One of the strangest parts of Wells’ disappearance, according to his parents, Christine and Elmore Wonsley, is that his friends say he left his phone behind on the boat but stayed at the party and on Horn Island, without his group, before being found dead. He was 18.

Authorities initially said they didn’t see signs of foul play and thought Wells could’ve drowned, though his family has called it a rush to judgment. They also said they worry race could be a factor. (An official and independent investigation is currently ongoing.)

“What teenager would leave their phone behind if they’re going to stay on this island?” the family’s attorney, Ben Crump, has said. “What teenager wouldn’t take their phone?”

In the fourth installment of the video series, published on Friday, July 24, Hudson echoed what some of Wells’ other friends from the party have said — that it was normal for attendees that day to leave their phones on boats to protect them from the ocean.

Hudson also said that he and his friends did not access the phone before handing it over.

“Nolan wasn’t the only person that left a phone on the boat. There [were] a lot of people that left phones on the boat,” Hudson said. “There [were] a couple phones that we had that we didn’t know who they belonged to.”

Hudson added that following the island party, he went to a friend’s house around 12:30 a.m. local time on July 5, after which the mother of Jayvon Williams — Wells’ friend who was also with him on Horn Island — showed up with a group of people and “demanded Nolan’s phone.”

“But his phone … I mean he was drinking,” Hudson continued of Wells. “He didn’t have his phone in the water ‘cause no one did. And I mean there was more than just Nolan’s phone that wasn’t on the boat with us.”

When he was asked by Tatum if there was a “struggle” over the phone, Hudson said he and his friends “just handed it over.”

“I mean, we didn’t think anything of it,” he continued, adding of Williams’ mom: “She asked for Nolan’s phone.”

“We knew they were close friends with the Wells family. And she just … my buddy went out to his truck and handed the phone over. No complications, no issue, you know, nothing,” Hudson further explained.

PEOPLE has not been able to reach Hudson for comment.

Hudson previously said in the third part of his interview with Tatum that a while after he and a few friends returned to the mainland, they noticed that nobody had heard from Wells, which they found “a little concerning.”

Hudson then called Wells’ mother Christine, who hadn’t heard from her son either, before proceeding to call the Coast Guard.

In the fourth part of the interview, Hudson recalled that he informed Christine of the phone’s whereabouts. “I told Miss Christine that we had his phone and he had left it in our possession on the boat,” Hudson said, referring to this conversation he had with Wells’ mom earlier on July 4, before they handed the phone over.

Wells’ parents have said they don’t understand why their son’s phone didn’t have more content on it from that day, despite him being at a large party with friends. They suspect that’s a clue to some kind of cover-up of something nefarious.

Hudson also said during the fourth part of his interview with Tatum that he and his friends did not, as the YouTuber phrased it, “go through” the teen’s device.

“Of course not,” Hudson said of accessing Wells’ phone on July 4. “None of us had a reason to go through Nolan’s phone. I mean, there’s multiple phones on the boat, and the boat was having [bilge pump] issues. Why would our concern be getting on Nolan’s phone or something?”

“I mean, I don’t even know Nolan’s password. None of my friends do,” he continued. “We had no reason ever to get on Nolan’s phone and look at anything. I didn’t even touch Nolan’s phone.”

Nobody touched the device except when it, along with the other phones left on the boat, were moved into a truck, and when the phone was handed to Williams’ mom, according to Hudson.

When he was asked again whether there was any chance someone accessed Wells’ phone and deleted anything off the device, Hudson told Tatum during part four of the interview, “Absolutely not.”

“And we have no reason to delete anything,” Hudson said. “I mean, you know, there’s nothing to hide here. We have had no reason to delete anything, and we never did.”
