Craig Morgan Has Fans Nervous After Unexpected Stage Climb at Ohio Concert
Craig Morgan had the crowd looking up — and more than a little worried — when the 62-year-old country star climbed several feet into the air during his performance at Neon Nights in Ohio on Saturday, August 15.
While performing his 2007 hit “International Harvester,” Morgan suddenly made his way up the stage truss, continuing to sing as he climbed higher above the audience.
Videos recorded by concertgoers captured the unusual moment from several angles, showing Morgan appearing completely comfortable as he took his high-energy performance off the stage and into the air.
For the audience, however, the stunt was a different story.
Fans Were Impressed — But Also Nervous
The clips quickly circulated on TikTok, where viewers praised Morgan’s fearless performance while admitting that watching him climb the structure was anything but relaxing.
“It made me so nervous,” one fan confessed.
Others immediately turned their attention to Morgan’s crew and security team, imagining the stress they must have felt as the singer continued his ascent.
“You know this had his team SWEATING,” one person joked.
“His security team must pull their hair out with him,” another wrote.
One viewer perhaps captured the moment best: “Just a country boy doing country boy things.”
Morgan Continues His Busy Schedule
A singer, author, actor and soldier, Morgan remains a regular presence on the road, performing familiar favorites including “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Almost Home” and “That’s What I Love About Sunday.”
His connection to the military is also a major part of his work beyond music. Having previously served in the Army and Army Reserve, Morgan has continued supporting service members and veterans through various initiatives.
That commitment will take center stage this November when the Grand Ole Opry member hosts Craig Morgan’s Veterans Day 5K, supported by Humana.
The inaugural race is scheduled for the morning of November 7 at the Grand Ole Opry House, ahead of Morgan’s headlining performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium later that evening.
Registration is currently open at veteransday5k.com, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Opry Trust Fund, Operation Finally Home, the USO and the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation.
“We celebrate Veterans Day each year to honor the men and women who have served our great nation in our US military,” Morgan previously said. “I am inviting you to join me on November 7 to run, honor and remember our Veterans during this first-ever race and give back to those who have already given us so much.”
After his unexpected climb at Neon Nights, Morgan has once again shown that he has no intention of letting age slow down his performances — even if his latest stage move left his fans watching with their hearts in their throats.
