Denny Hamlin’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Taylor Stuns NASCAR Crowd With Heartfelt National Anthem

Denny Hamlin’s 13-year-old daughter Taylor stepped into the spotlight at one of her father’s most familiar NASCAR tracks — and delivered a performance that left the crowd listening intently.

On Friday, August 14, Taylor Hamlin sang the national anthem in front of a packed crowd at Richmond Raceway in Virginia, giving fans a special opening to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

Her heartfelt rendition showcased a side of the Hamlin family rarely seen on the racetrack, with the teenager confidently taking centre stage and impressing those gathered at her father’s home track.

The race itself was later postponed because of bad weather, but Taylor had already provided one of the evening’s most memorable moments.

Denny shares Taylor with his longtime partner and fiancée, Jordan, with the couple also raising their two other children, Molly and Jameson.

Family has always been hugely important to the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, who has previously made major sacrifices around his racing schedule to be present for important moments in his children’s lives, including their births.

But the past year has brought profound heartbreak for the Hamlin family.

Denny’s father, Dennis Hamlin, died at the age of 75 after a devastating house fire on December 28, 2025.

Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly two hours, with crews reportedly facing difficulties because of limited water supplies in the area.

The family home was ultimately declared a “complete loss”, although firefighters were able to recover some valuable collectibles and racing memorabilia.

Just three months after the tragedy, Taylor first debuted her incredible singing voice.

In a video shared by Jordon back in March, the young girl took center stage, wowing fans with a theatrical performance from The Little Mermaid.

Denny’s mother was also inside when the fire broke out but managed to escape safely.

Against that difficult backdrop, Taylor’s appearance at Richmond carried an especially poignant significance.

Standing in front of thousands of NASCAR fans on August 14, the 13-year-old proudly represented her family at a track that has played such a major role in her father’s career.

Richmond Raceway has also paid tribute to Denny by permanently reserving seats for the Hamlin family.

And the connection between the driver and the historic 0.75-mile circuit runs deep.

Denny is a five-time winner at Richmond and remains the most recent driver to win from pole position, achieving the feat in 2016.

He also made an impressive debut at the track in 2006, finishing runner-up in his very first Richmond race.

So when Taylor walked onto the track to perform the national anthem, the moment felt like a fitting tribute to both her father and the family’s enduring connection to Richmond.

With Denny and the rest of the family watching from the stands, Taylor delivered the anthem with confidence and emotion, earning warm applause from the NASCAR crowd.

For a teenager still finding her own path outside her famous father’s racing career, it was a beautiful reminder that there may be another kind of talent in the Hamlin family.
