Princess Catherine has shared one of Prince Louis’s favourite songs, and it’s an adorable choice that everyone knows. Before Prince Louis’s second birthday, Catherine celebrated the 25th anniversary of Place2Be – a charity that supports children’s mental health – at Buckingham Palace. During the reception, Princess Catherine suggested that she sing “Happy Birthday” to two of the choir members. She then revealed the celebration song was “One of [Prince] Louis’ favourites.”
Prince William and Princess Catherine reportedly enjoy pop music, but this wholesome choice of song from their son brought a smile to people’s faces. But this isn’t the only wholesome thing the young prince has done.
Prince Louis left a heartfelt message at his mum’s annual Christmas carol service in 2024, and it caught the attention of royal fans. The young prince joined his family for Princess Catherine’s annual “Together at Christmas” carol service.
Prince Louis was one of the many people to attach a note to the Kindness tree just outside Westminster Abbey, where the concert took place.
The adorable message read: “Thank you to Granny and Grandpa because they have played games with me.” The young prince appeared alongside his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Among the 1,600 guests at the carol service were people who have supported others in their communities and people who have gone through difficult times this year. This included people who have supported their friends or family, or helped others through hard times, through their work or volunteering.
Each guest received a special letter from Catherine, in which she thanked them and told them that “Love is the light that can shine bright, even in our darkest times”.
Prince Louis is one King Charles’ five grandchildren: George, Charlotte, Louis, Archie and Lilibet. The King is also the step-grandfather of Queen Camilla’s five grandchildren: Lola and Freddie Parker-Bowles, and Eliza, Gus and Louis Lopes.
Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond spoke to OK Magazine about the King’s relationship with his grandchildren. She said: “When you’ve had a wonderful experience in life, it’s natural to want to replicate it for your children and grandchildren. Charles had a magical relationship with his grandmother, the Queen Mother.”
She added: “For all his serious ponderings on the state of the world and in spite of his heavy workload, Charles is quite a soppy old thing really, and I’m sure he hugely values the time he has available to spend with his grandchildren.”
