But wait, actually, I can name a better partnership: England and just about any other song. I’m sorry to say I’m not a huge Wonderwall fan. Massively overrated, no?

If it gets us over the line this World Cup, I might have to give it a second chance.

The festivities meant this reporter struggled to get to sleep as people caroused in the streets and beeped their car horns and chanted for hours after the game.

The first two pictures blow are from Fulham, the third is from the police needing to step in in Clapham, while the last is in Manchester.

Let’s just say Erling Haaland’s dad hasn’t taken the result the best way…

Alfie Haaland, a former Leeds and Manchester City player, posted on X: ‘Well done Bellingham and referee’.

Clearly he’s miffed by some of the officiating – and we’ll get onto that later.
