If Rhonda Vincent is “The Queen of Bluegrass,” then her granddaughter, Faye, may just be the Princess.

Rhonda joined the Grand Ole Opry family in 2021, following in the footsteps of her brother, Darrin Vincent, who became an Opry member in 2017 as part of the duo Dailey & Vincent.

It seems singing at the Opry is truly a Vincent family affair. That was once again evident when Rhonda recently welcomed her daughter, Sally, and two-year-old granddaughter, Faye, onto the stage during a show.

In a video shared by the Opry, Rhonda could be seen smiling from ear to ear as she gestured toward little Faye, who proudly stood in the center of the Circle while holding a ukulele.

Rhonda asked Faye if she wanted to sing something, prompting Sally to scoop her up and hold her in front of the microphone. With a little help from Rhonda, Faye sweetly sang the chorus of the Carter Family classic “Can the Circle Be Unbroken,” also known as “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

The two-year-old quickly showed that she was a natural performer, appearing completely unfazed by being in front of the crowd. When she finished singing, the audience responded with a warm round of applause, which Faye happily thanked them for.

You can watch the adorable moment when Rhonda Vincent’s granddaughter sang “Can the Circle Be Unbroken” in the video below.

Rhonda Vincent’s Granddaughter Is One Many Singers Who’ve Performed “Can The Circle Be Unbroken”

“Can the Circle Be Unbroken” can be traced back to the Christian hymn “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” written by Ada R. Habershon in 1907, with music composed by Charles H. Gabriel.

A. P. Carter of the Carter Family later reworked the song into a funeral hymn, keeping the original “by and by” chorus while adding a series of new verses. The Carter Family released its version in 1935 under the title “Can the Circle Be Unbroken.”

That is the version many of your favorite artists perform today, although the song is still frequently referred to by its original title, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.” The song also has a special connection to the Grand Ole Opry, whose famous “Circle” is where artists stand whenever they take the stage.

“Will the Circle Be Unbroken” was performed at the end of the Opry 100 TV special in 2025, celebrating the Opry’s 100th birthday. Rhonda Vincent was among more than 50 Opry members who took part in the special closing performance.

Maybe one day, little Faye will be standing on that same stage as the Grand Ole Opry celebrates its 150th birthday!
