A detective thriller has been voted as the Netflix show readers believe deserves a second chance.
Hundreds of Mirror readers took to our TV poll to vote for one of five axed Netflix shows they were keen to see make a comeback, and one took the lead by a long shot.
The decision was put to viewers after Netflix made a rare decision to U-turn on one of its previously axed shows – Beauty in Black.
Despite reports having said the series would end after season three, it was recently confirmed that the drama would return for a fourth outing.
The streamer has cancelled many shows after just one season, with readers able to vote among The Abandons, The Boroughs, Kaos, 1899 and Lockwood & Co.
A perhaps unexpected show stormed into the lead, and the poll results, based on more than 317 votes, are shown below.

While The Boroughs was the most recent show to get axed and had earned positive reviews from fans and critics, Lockwood & Co proved to be the most popular.
The supernatural detective thriller first aired in January 2023 and it was based on the book series by Jonathan Stroud.
Starring Bridgerton’s Ruby Stokes as Lucy Carlyle, the series was axed four months after its release, leaving viewers on a massive cliffhanger.
The series was set in an alternate version of present-day Britain where ghosts, known as visitors, had been rising from their graves.
Most adults did not have the ability to see the ghosts, unlike children, so youngsters were organised into licensed ghost-hunting agencies to detect and dispose of threats – Lockwood & Co being one of these agencies.

Cameron Chapman starred as Anthony Lockwood, the organisation’s proprietor, with Ali Hadji-Heshmati as George Karim, Lockwood’s friend and the agency’s head of research.
The series ended on a major cliffhanger when Anthony finally promised Lucy and George he would open the mysterious, forbidden room in their house and share the truth about his past.
The episode faded to black just as he opened the door, leaving the contents completely unknown.
Fans took to IMDb reviews to share their thoughts on the series, with one saying: “I already recommended it to my sister before finding out it was cancelled.
“I can almost guarantee she would recommend it to at least six others and after I play it for my teenagers, I can say that all of their friends will be watching it within the week.
“I hope Netflix or another network picks it up for a second season. If any show deserves one, it’s Lockwood and Co. It’s the most captivating thing I’ve watched since Sweet Tooth.”
