Katie Price was overcome with emotion as she opened up about her mum’s health battle on stage at the launch of her new documentary.
The former glamour model shed tears at the Q&A of the Sky documentary launch for Katie Price: Nothing to Hide as she thanked her mum Amy Price for being present despite her ongoing health battle.
“She only got out of hospital five days ago and she’s been in there for weeks,” Katie began.
“And the fact you’re here looking gorgeous..” she continued, before having to stop as her voice broke with emotion.
Katie then waved her hand to fight back tears as the audience applauded the star’s mum and Katie in the emotional moment.
Katie’s mum Amy was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) back in 2017, with the irreversible scarring of the lungs making it difficult for her to breathe.
During her Good Morning Britain interview last month, the reality TV star revealed that her mum was “really not well”.
The admission came two months after Amy was hospitalised in March after being diagnosed with an infection.
Nevertheless, Amy was fit enough to step out with her daughter on her big night, putting in a glamorous appearance in photos from the night.
The 73-year-old looked incredible in a white and blue floral dress, proudly posing next to Katie at the special screening.
Amy wasn’t the only family member present with Katie’s dad and her sister Sophie also spotted supporting her on the night.
Sophie – who co-hosts The Katie Price Show podcast – hailed it ‘an amazing night’ as she shared snaps of the bash on her social media.
