Holly Willoughby is making a comeback to presenting, but this time in a completely new format.
The 45-year-old former This Morning host has announced that her new YouTube show, styled similarly to This Morning, will debut at the end of this month.
Back in January, the Mail on Sunday first reported that Holly — who spent nearly 25 years in television and was reportedly earning £730,000 annually at ITV — was developing a new digital project.
She has now revealed a striking pink logo for the show, titled Together. Holly also created a dedicated Instagram account to promote it, posting “coming soon” with her first update. The account’s bio reads: “We are almost ready to get together… @hollywilloughby,” and includes a link to her new YouTube channel.
The project is self-funded and will see Holly both producing and presenting the online show. She is collaborating with a team from her husband Dan Baldwin’s production company, Hungry Bear, known for BBC hits such as Gladiators and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.
A friend of the star told the Mail on Sunday in January: “Holly has done television for 25 years, and now she wants to make her own thing. Daytime television is declining, and it’s time for something new. She is excited — it’s innovative and she hopes it will work.”
The source added that the media landscape has shifted dramatically toward platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Holly sees this as an opportunity to create something with long-term potential.
Holly stepped away from This Morning after being deeply affected by a serious kidnap plot against her. For 14 years, she had presented the show alongside her former co-star Phillip Schofield, often starting very early in the morning as one of ITV’s most in-demand presenters.
She has since returned to television with more series of Dancing on Ice and the Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt, but now believes her future lies outside traditional broadcasting.
According to the source, Holly maintains a positive relationship with ITV but has turned down several opportunities, including hosting You Bet, and has no current plans to return. Instead, she is pursuing her own vision.
“She has an idea and knows that if she doesn’t try it now, she may never know if it works. It’s a risk, but she wanted a change. Not only will she be on camera, but she’ll also be in charge behind the scenes — and that’s very exciting for her,” the friend said.
The source also noted that Holly faces unfair criticism, often from men, who claim she is “finished” or unemployed, attributing much of it to misogyny.
