Harlan Coben’s longest-running ‘Myron Bolitar’ book series has been picked up by Netflix. Actor Colin Woodell (“The Continental”, “Pulse”) will play the eponymous character — a retired basketball player turned sports agent. The mystery thriller franchise spans 12 novels, beginning with ‘Deal Breaker’ (1995) and running through ‘Think Twice’ (2024).
The books feature a mix of suspense and humour as Myron investigates murder and blackmail to protect his clients.
Woodell’s co-stars include KJ Apa (“Riverdale”) and Diane Guerrero (“The Lincoln Lawyer”), among others. Aside from the “John Wick” miniseries “The Continental”, Woodell has appeared in movies like “Ambulance” and “Fly Me to the Moon”.
Filmmaker Greg Yaitanes, who has worked on some of the most popular shows such as “Castle Rock”, “Manhunt: Unabomber”, “Banshee”, and “Quarry”, is on board as the director and executive producer. He is expected to co-direct several episodes of the show in association with David E Kelley and Kyle Long, who are involved as co-showrunners and writers.

Coben has had the privilege of having his work adapted in multiple languages. His other English-language shows include “Fool Me Once” (2024), “Stay Close” (2021), “The Stranger”, and “Safe” (2018). His most recent shows are “I Will Find You”, which instantly found itself on top global streaming charts, “Missing You”, and “Run Away”.
The foreign-language adaptations based on his work include “Hold Tight” (2022 — Polish), “Gone for Good” (2021 — French), “The Innocent” (2021 — Spanish), and “The Woods” (2020 — Polish).
