Strictly Come Dancing Fans Say They’re ‘Sick’ Of Seeing Emma Willis As BBC Presenter Appears Across Multiple Shows
Emma Willis has become a familiar face on British television, but her growing presence across several major programmes is beginning to divide viewers. Some fans have praised the presenter’s work on Strictly Come Dancing, while others are questioning whether she is appearing on too many shows at once.
The 50-year-old presenter currently fronts the BBC’s Saturday night dance competition alongside its Sunday results show. She also appears on ITV’s The Voice, which airs immediately before Strictly Come Dancing on Saturdays, and presents Cooking With The Stars alongside comedian Tom Allen on Monday nights.
Meanwhile, she has reunited with her husband, Matt Willis, to host Netflix’s dating series Love Is Blind, with all episodes currently available to stream. Viewers can also watch her in Emma Willis: Delivering Babies on U&W.
Her packed television schedule has prompted some viewers to take to social media, with several suggesting that her frequent appearances are becoming excessive.

Fans Question Whether Emma Willis Is Appearing Too Often
One Reddit user admitted to having a soft spot for Emma but suggested that the presenter was becoming overexposed.
Describing Emma as her “secret girl crush”, the viewer nevertheless compared her growing presence to that of Holly Willoughby, who has also been a prominent face across British entertainment television.
“She’s becoming over saturated,” the user wrote, adding that Emma reminded her of “the face of every prime show”, before making a similar comparison with Alison Hammond.
The viewer pointed out that Emma was fronting two major Saturday night programmes, Strictly Come Dancing and The Voice, while also presenting other shows throughout the week.
After watching Cooking With The Stars, the Reddit user questioned why broadcasters continued to rely on the same presenters when other talent might be available.
“She’s obviously very good at her job. But aren’t there any other presenters?” she asked.
The fan even suggested that the BBC could consider removing Emma from the Sunday results show to give audiences a break from seeing her so frequently.
Referring to the show’s former presenter, the viewer added: “Brucey didn’t do the results show… I don’t want to get Emma fatigue.”

Viewers On X Share Their Frustration
The discussion has also surfaced on X, where several viewers expressed similar concerns about Emma’s appearances across rival broadcasters.
One user highlighted the amount of time she spends on television during Saturday evenings, writing: “Amazing that Emma Willis is on mainstream tv for 4 consecutive hours every Saturday, Strictly and The Voice. Clearly there’s a shortage of presenters!”
Another viewer was similarly unimpressed by the prospect of seeing her on both programmes, commenting: “Currently, Emma Willis is on Strictly and The Voice, at the same time, sick of her…”
A third post focused on her presence across the BBC and ITV schedules, arguing that too much exposure could eventually affect her popularity.
“Emma Willis on both ITV and BBC at the same time tonight. She does know if she’s on all the time viewers will lose interest in her. Less is more,” the user wrote.
However, not everyone agreed that Emma’s television schedule was a problem.
One viewer suggested that the criticism depended largely on how much television each person watched, explaining: “It depends on your viewing habits surely. I only watch her in Strictly, so no fatigue for me.”
The contrasting reactions suggest that while some viewers are growing tired of seeing the same familiar faces across multiple programmes, others are perfectly happy with Emma’s increased presence.

Emma Willis Has Been Praised For Her New Strictly Role
The criticism comes despite Emma receiving widespread praise from viewers since taking over from former Strictly Come Dancing presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
The BBC introduced a significant change to the programme’s presenting line-up, opting for three hosts rather than maintaining the previous arrangement.
Emma now works alongside former professional dancer Johannes Radebe and comedian Josh Widdicombe, with the trio taking on different roles throughout the competition.
Earlier this month, Emma discussed the experience during an appearance on the spin-off programme It Takes Two, describing her new position as “a whirlwind!”
She explained that she and Josh usually sit at the back of the studio, away from the main camera’s view, where they can observe the performances, the audience and the judges’ reactions.
“Josh [Widdicombe] and I sit right at the back where no one can see us in view on the telly and we watch everything, we watch the audience, we watch how the judges react, we watch the dance as well, and everything we do is what we’ve just observed,” she said.
Rather than relying entirely on a prepared script, the pair respond to what is happening in the studio.
“We take it in the moment. If it’s gone really well and they’re super excited, we react to that. If it hasn’t gone quite so well, we’ll react to that,” Emma explained.
She added that contestants are often too overwhelmed to speak immediately after performing, leaving her and Josh to help move the show along.
“Normally, they can’t breathe or speak, so we just go, ‘Hey, let’s turn to the judges!’”

The One Part Of Strictly Emma Admits She Finds Difficult
Despite enjoying her new role, Emma has been candid about one aspect of the job she finds particularly challenging: delivering the results of the dance-off.
The presenter admitted that telling contestants their time in the competition has come to an end is something she struggles with, even though it is an essential part of the show.
“I really don’t enjoy it. I love my job and I love being a part of it but I just feel so sorry for them,” she said.
Emma explained that she sees the effort contestants put into their performances, as well as the physical demands of competing week after week.
She continued: “We do see how much work they put into it and how much they love doing it and how painful their bodies are by doing it and you don’t want to be the one to say, ‘Thank you so much, bye!’”
Her comments offered a glimpse into the emotional side of presenting the competition, particularly when contestants have invested so much time and effort into their performances.
While some viewers are questioning how frequently Emma appears on television, her own remarks suggest that her Strictly Come Dancing responsibilities come with challenges that audiences may not always see.
For now, the debate over her growing television presence continues, with viewers divided between those who would welcome more variety among presenters and those who are happy to keep watching a familiar face.
