Maya Jama could be set for Hollywood after reportedly being lined up to appear in the third season of the hit Netflix show, The Gentleman.
The Love Island host, 31, briefly popped up in the trailer for the upcoming second show – which will premiere on September 3 -alongside Theo James and Kaya Scodelario.
According to reports, she impressed bosses with her performance during filming of the second series, which has now led them to be in the negotiating stages of signing her up for series three.
A source claimed: “The Gentlemen is set to be a huge stepping stone for Maya, who delivers a rather impressive performance despite not having a major part.”

“But that could all be about to change as they eye her up for another series of the show, which is already one of Netflix’s biggest hits of recent years.”
“The US market laps up shows like The Gentlemen as they’re both sexy and quintessentially British, rather like Maya herself,” they added to the Sun.
This is Maya’s latest bid to crack America as her role in the hit show could see her launching herself on a global level – the reports come just days before she prepares to finish filming Love Island, ahead of the final next week.
The Gentleman is one of the streaming channel’s biggest hits after attracting 44million views in four weeks. Other stars in the series include Vinnie Jones, Joely Richardson and Daniel Ings.
Earlier this month, the trailer for the second series premiered, unveiling Maya’s role – as the wife of Theo James’ counterpart. In the clip she is seen being asked by Theo: “How do you do?” And in response she said: “I do very well.”
In a bid to promote the series, she took to her Instagram and said: “It’s cominggggggg, gassed seeing my little head in the trailer.”
The series follows Eddie Halstead, played by Theo James, a year after he joined forces with Bobby Glass, played by Ray Winstone to secure a criminal empire abroad.

However, the decisions made by Bobby appear to be suspect. And one of the tag lines of the series reads: “Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well.”
Speaking of the series, Theo told The Times: “We’ve been trying to build on what we did in the first season but make the world bigger, darker.
“It’s still comedic, hopefully, but I think it’s a little richer in terms of the story.”
Details of Maya’s role have been kept under wraps but she isn’t the only newcomer as Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville has also joined the cast, but it has been said that his character will remain a mystery.
A source previously told The Sun: “It was pretty obvious that Hugh’s new character plays a pivotal role in the story that runs through the drama’s second outing.
“Though it’s a bit of a surprise to see someone in a gangster thriller who’s used to playing wholesome figures in shows like Downton Abbey and the Paddington movies.
“But it’s fair to say with his giant head of grey hair and thick black glasses they’ve given him a very distinctive new look.”
The Gentleman is based on and inspired by Guy Ritchie’s film which featured Matthew McConaughey, Michelle Dockery and also Hugh Grant.
