Dolly Parton Corn Mazes Are Taking Over North America This Fall
Dolly Parton may have died on August 25 at age 80, but this fall, her image will still be greeting visitors from inside cornfields across North America.
Twenty farms in the United States and Canada are taking part in a Dolly Parton-themed corn maze campaign that has been nearly three years in the making. What began as a celebration of Parton’s career and the 31st anniversary of her Imagination Library has now taken on a much more emotional meaning following her death.
And there is a good cause behind all that getting lost in the corn. Participating farms will donate a portion of their proceeds to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the children’s literacy program she founded in 1995.
A Nearly Three-Year Project Takes On New Meaning
The Dolly-themed mazes were not created as memorials.
Plans for the designs were finalized in early 2026, in January, and the artwork was cut into the corn during the early summer. At the time, Parton was alive and aware of the project. She even recorded a video encouraging people to visit the farms and enjoy the experience.
Now, after her passing, those same fields have become unexpected tributes to one of country music’s most recognizable figures.
Brett Herbst, founder of The MAiZE Inc., which designed the participating mazes, said the project has taken on an even deeper significance. The company is honoring Parton’s legacy while helping support the literacy organization that was so important to her.

The campaign follows previous Country Music Corn Maze themes featuring Reba McEntire in 2023, Luke Bryan in 2024 and Lainey Wilson in 2025.
This year’s designs put Dolly at the center, with farms creating large-scale portraits and other elements inspired by her music, career and familiar imagery.
At All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock, Illinois, for example, the six-acre maze features Parton’s likeness along with the words “An American Treasure.” Visitors can also take part in a Dolly-themed trivia game and stop for a life-size photo opportunity.
At Robinette’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the aerial design includes Parton’s face, a guitar, musical notes and a butterfly.
Dolly Knew About the Mazes
One of the most poignant details about the project is that Parton herself knew the corn mazes were coming.
Before her death, she recorded a message inviting fans and families to visit the farms, have some fun and get lost in the corn.
That means the fall attractions are more than posthumous tributes created after the fact. They are projects Parton had already seen and supported.
The timing is particularly meaningful for the farms involved. All Seasons Orchard unveiled its Dolly design just one day before Parton’s death, while other farms around the country have since announced their own tributes.
The Mazes Are Supporting Dolly’s Imagination Library
The charitable side of the project is just as important as the designs themselves.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library began in 1995 and provides free, age-appropriate books to children from birth through age five. The program was inspired in part by Parton’s father, who was unable to read and write.
Since its launch, the program has grown from a local effort in East Tennessee into an international literacy initiative. By the end of 2025, the Imagination Library had gifted more than 304 million books worldwide.
The program operates through funding shared by the Dollywood Foundation and local community partners in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and the Republic of Ireland.
For the corn maze campaign, each participating farm will contribute part of its proceeds to support local Imagination Library programs.
That gives visitors another reason to make the trip. A day spent wandering through a cornfield can also help put books into the hands of children.

The campaign stretches from Alabama and California to Michigan, Texas and Utah, with two Canadian locations joining the lineup.

Recent reporting has also highlighted Happy Day Farm in Manalapan, New Jersey, which developed its own eight-acre Dolly Parton maze after working with The MAiZE on the project. The farm’s maze is scheduled to open September 19.
The campaign as a whole spans 15 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces.
One of the Canadian attractions, Maizex Corn Maze in Kitscoty, Alberta, has transformed an eight-acre cornfield into a large-scale Dolly tribute, with the design celebrating her music, personality and work through the Imagination Library.
A Fall Tradition With a Dolly Twist
For farms across the country, corn mazes have become a fall tradition. The Country Music Corn Maze series has added a musical theme to that tradition in recent years, but Dolly’s design feels particularly fitting.
Parton’s connection to farming, her Tennessee upbringing and her decades-long commitment to children and literacy all come together in these attractions.
At Irons Mill Farmstead in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, the Dolly maze is part of a larger fall festival featuring more than 40 attractions. The farm’s maze opened in late August and will be available on select days through November 1.
In Woodstock, visitors can expect to spend roughly 30 to 60 minutes making their way through the maze, while the farm also offers Dolly-themed activities along the route.
And in Alto, Georgia, Jaemor Farms is incorporating its Dolly maze into its annual Harvest Celebration, beginning September 12.
A Fitting Tribute to a Remarkable Legacy
There is something fitting about Dolly Parton’s likeness appearing in cornfields this fall.
The designs were created long before her death, which makes their arrival especially bittersweet. Parton knew they were coming. She supported the idea. And now families will be walking through them while remembering the woman whose music and generosity reached far beyond country music.
Most importantly, the project continues to support the cause at the heart of the campaign.
The Imagination Library has already delivered more than 300 million books, and its work continues after Parton’s death.
So this fall, getting lost in a Dolly Parton corn maze can mean more than finding your way back out of the field. For the participating farms, it is a chance to celebrate her music, remember her legacy and help carry forward one of the causes she cared about most.
