The Six-String Soldiers are a country and Americana ensemble composed of professional musicians who serve in the U.S. Army. As part of the U.S. Army Field Band, they combine their military service with live musical performances.
Dolly’s connection with military families continued well beyond her visit to Fort Hood. In December 2022, she took part in the USO’s Military Virtual Programming, or MVP, series. The appearance gave deployed service members and their families an opportunity to connect with her virtually.
