A TV version of Interview with the Vampire is streaming on BBC iPlayer and fans have said it’s “a masterpiece”. The spooky tale about two vampires, based on The Vampire Chronicles by author Anne Rice, was adapted for the big screen in 1994 then in 2022 it became a series.
It follows vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) as he recounts his turbulent relationship with the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), and fans have been hooked on the three series that have aired so far. Many have even said it’s one of the best literary adaptations out there.

Someone else called the show “astonishing” and another said it was “addictive”.
“The best season of television of ALL TIME,” exclaimed one viewer, after tuning in to the first of the three series of the show.
The series also features Eric Bogosian, Bailey Bass, Assad Zaman and Jennifer Ehle, who portrays Gabriella de Lioncourt, Lestat’s mother. Joseph Potter stars as a former friend of Lestat, while Kalyne Coleman takes on the role of Grace de Pointe du Lac Freniere, Louis’ sister who has just married.
